Compassion in Action

Inspired and blessed by Rashtrasant Pujya Gurudev Upadhyay Shri Amarmuniji Maharaj, the leading light of Veerayatan, a humble effort to amalgamate spiritual enlightenment and compassion for humanity emerged in the foothills of Vaibhargiri as Veerayatan in 1973, under able guidance and stewardship of Pujya Acharyashri Chandanaji, the Spirit behind Veerayatan. Acharyashri, an institution in herself, is seen as an icon and tower of strength by the entire community. Humble and pious, she is the role model for the women folk of the nation. Three and a half decades of continuous effort and service towards humanity has seen the spread of the organization to various places under the guidance of Sadhvijis. The entire Jain community in general, compassionate and emotional youth and people living abroad have devoted themselves in this divine service and contributed to the ever progressive flow of spiritual movement. Tirthankar Mahaveer said ‘Jah Deevo Deev Sayam’ i.e. one lamp lights a thousand lamps. Inspired by this divine mantra of Bhagwan Mahaveer, Veerayatan continues its effort in the field of Seva, Siksha and Sadhna.
