Lachhuar, the birth place of our most revered Lord Mahaveer, capital city during the reign of King Siddhartha, was once a land of great opportunities and a blessed one too. The Lord himself chose to make it his home.

Lachhuar is the land of Shri Mahaveer Swami’s Janma & Kalyanaks. Lachhuar is one of the poorest towns in Bihar today. Most of the population is known as Adiwasi and they are Non Vegetarians. Message of Mahaveer in the land of Mahaveer is all but forgotten.

Continuously striving to render service to the society of the land of Mahaveer, Veerayatan felt the deep rooted need for education for the masses. Lord Mahaveer had himself lais stress on education but this very element was missing in the impoverished land of Lachhuar and Pawapuri which have the honour of being his “Janmabhoomi” and “Nirvana Bhoomi” respectively.
Acharya Shri Chandanaji decided to bring light in every child’s life in the region by having quality institutions imparting modern education along with lessons in our age old highly cherished ‘Sanskaras’ and belief in ‘Ahinsa’ through Tirthankar Mahaveer Vidya Mandir.

Lachhuar : According to the belief and history, Kshatriyakund Teerth, Lachhuar, the birth place of our most revered Lord Mahaveer, capital city during the reign of King Siddhartha, was once a land of great opportunities.
On the occasion of 26th Centenary of Lord Mahaveer’s Jayanti in 2001, Tirthankar Mahaveer Vidya Mandir was established in Lachhuar. It was a modest beginning in a small building with 150 students. Slowly it gathered a momentum and the name and fame spread across the district. Now the school has more than 450 students and is equipped with most ,modern facilities such as computers, games facilities, musical instruments. The school is housed in a big building built on a vast piece of land owned by Veerayatan. The school has taken made a significant contribution towards spread of education in the region.
